Offers: Spatial transcriptomics (ST)

  • ST enables the generation of single-cell profiles in historical samples such as formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE), or cryopreserved (FF) tissue.
  • ST provides a spatial context for gene expression and elucidates the cellular microenvironment and cell-cell interactions.

Application example:

  • The spatial localization of immune cells in tissue can provide crucial information from a prognostic perspective.
    • Studies on response to cancer immunotherapy (Braun et al. *):
    • Comparison of the spatial transcriptome profiles of patients in the treatment and control arms, as well as of patients who respond well or poorly to therapy.
    • Parallel molecular and imaging characterization of the tumor, tumor-infiltrating immune cells, and tumor microenvironment
