Project LEGATEST wins Innovation Award

Dr. Arndt Wilcke from the Fraunhofer IZI received on 8 January 2015 an innovation voucher worth 5,000 euros in the context of the project C3 Saxony. The team led by Dr. Wilcke won with the concept of developing an early test for dyslexia based on EEG and genetic markers. Therewith should be given the opportunity for a timely therapy to affected children.

The objective of the EU-funded project C3 Saxony is to network Saxon actors from the industries of the future information / communication technology and biotechnology, and to promote cross-sector innovation. These companies and research institutions were invited to submit project ideas in recent months, which were examined by a jury headed by the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport (SMWA). They evaluated the degree of innovation, the importance of the proposal to solve social problems and the feasibility in the next few years.
