Fields of application
The IntelliCage is a system to study spatial learning and memory. The cage has 4 operant conditioning corners. Each operant corner is equipped with a combination of actors for shaping the animals behaviour according to individualized reinforcement and conditioning protocols. Actors include an RFID antenna, motorized doors blocking/allowing access to water bottles, multicolour LEDs and an air-puff for delivering negative reinforcement.
Groups up to 16 mice are observed simultaneously by a monitoring system in real time over several days without interference by an experimenter.
