Please use our online career portal to apply for one of the positions advertised. You can use the “Apply now” button to get there directly. For your application, you have to register in our portal, create your own profile and upload your application documents. After you have submitted your application, you will receive an automatic email confirming receipt of your application. Our personnel department can now access your application and will contact you soon.

Yes, you can. We accept applications for as long as the positions are advertised online.

If you have not found the right job for you in our ads, you can also send us a speculative application. We have posted initiative positions for internships, research assistants, a thesis or a doctoral dissertation for which you can also apply directly via our online career portal. These ads are available here:

Please submit your current CV to enable us to gain an initial overview of your personal profile, your knowledge and professional experiences. It should include your personal contact data and information on your education and your career so far. Please also tell us something about your specific work experiences or special skills, e.g., in the form of relevant laboratory procedures, your use of software tools or language skills.  

In addition, a short covering letter is important to let us know what your experiences regarding the selected job are and which work priorities are particularly important for you. If you apply for an internship or a final project/thesis, please indicate in your covering letter what period is relevant for you.

If you have recently graduated, please add the certificate regarding the highest educational degree you have completed. In case you are currently studying or doing vocational training, please provide a current transcript of records. 

Finally, letters of reference regarding internships or previous employments and records regarding certifications or further training courses round out your application.

Yes, you can. You can use our online career portal to apply for several jobs at once – with little additional effort. You can simply use the profile you have created for your first application to apply for other jobs you find interesting.

Yes, that is possible. Just log into our online career portal using the account you have created. You can now access your application and replace or add information or documents.  

We anonymise your data, at the latest, six months after the end of a selection procedure. After that, we only use the anonymised datasets for statistical evaluations. Conclusions regarding you personally are no longer possible from this point.

You can also withdraw your application and delete your profile in the Fraunhofer career portal at any time.

Fraunhofer IZI complies with the provisions of the German Data Protection Act. More detailed information on this is displayed during the online application process.

Of course, we will treat your application as confidential. 

As soon as we have received your application, you will receive an automatic email confirming receipt of your application. Our personnel department can now access your application and will forward it to the corresponding departments of our institute for a review.

TVöD is the collective agreement for public service employees in Germany. Fraunhofer IZI applies this collective agreement with regard to employment, remuneration and social benefits. Information on TVöD and the salary tables according to TVöD is available here. 

You can create an individual job offer subscription via your account. If new job ads are posted which are in line with your profile, you will be automatically informed via email. Moreover, you can adjust the subscription to your requirements at any time. Brief instructions on how to do this are provided in this video:
